Arizona Lies in the Southwest Region of The United States of America. It's land is mostly made up of desert and canyons with few rivers and lakes. The climate is hot and dry, with only about 7 inches of precipitation a year. In terms of area, Arizona has 113,990 square miles of land, with only 7 million people. Some major cities in Arizona are Phoenix, Tucson, and Sedona which hold a large portion of the States Population. One of the biggest parts to Arizona is the Grand Canyon, which was carved about 5 million years ago by the Colorado River which shaped 277 miles of deep canyon.
